GPL[edit]

This article is way too opinionated toward GPL. "What GPL can do for me" is not something I need to read about this program. --Earlz —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.107.230.41 (talk) 02:09, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Given that gEDA stands for GPL Electronic Design Automation, it seems appropriate for the article to include some discussion of why the GPL was important enough to the original developers to put it in the name of the suite. I think that the article in its current form doesn't actually explain that very well. PeterBrett (talk) 13:09, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lepton?[edit]

I thought gEDA was abandonware until I found Lepton EDA. It has many active developers and the code is maintained daily. Therefore, I think it is fitting to include this in the current gEDA page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Example (talkcontribs) 07:02, 19 April 2021 (UTC)— Preceding unsigned comment added by Adinov (talkcontribs) 05:25, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Already in the article: "Lepton EDA was forked from the gEDA/gaf suite in late 2016 by most of its active developers at that time." --Guy Macon (talk) 07:04, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
