Fair use rationale for Image:GTA cover.jpg[edit]

Image:GTA cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:51, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

GAN[edit]

I'm putting the article on hold until a few concerns can be addressed:

  • Lead: Needs to summarize the entire article. You mention the release dates, but I don't find out until 'development' that a bidding war developed after the release of the japanese version, and that was why it cam to the US later. The second paragraph should have a short introduction to the objective of the game, before you hit the reception.
  • Reception: needs to be expanded. You have all those reviews, and yet you just state general complaints. If there's a quote that encapsulates a certain aspect, put it in. Look at 'Iridion 3D for an example.

--When you've fixed these concerns, message me. Cheers, David Fuchs (talk) 23:17, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've done my best to address the concerns you listed. I added to the lead, but I can't imitate Iridion 3D too much in that regard -- Iridion had a story that it could mention. I added in notes about the cars and more detailed information on the password save system (something that was universally mentioned in every review I've read for the game). On the reception point, I added in quotes for a few reviews and some summaries. -- Nomader (Talk) 05:03, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's looking better, but there's only one line about positive features in the game. Can you give readers a paragraph on specific elements which made it a "sterling" game? David Fuchs (talk) 20:44, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've done a few changes to the article, but I'm not sure where you want me to put the paragraph about the features found in the game. I implied you were talking about the reception area, so I added in some more information there. If it isn't, I hope you'll let me know.
On a separate note, you might want to change the template on this talk page to note that the game is on hold. -- Nomader (Talk) 23:37, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, that addresses my concerns. Cheers, David Fuchs (talk) 00:39, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
