Fair use rationale for Image:Bsb galaxy logo.JPG[edit]

Image:Bsb galaxy logo.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that Galaxy (British television) be merged into Pick TV. My reasoning is that Galaxy was the predecessor of Sky Three and ultimatly Pick TV, so should only require a short paragraph on Pick TV's artical, not it's own artical. LOYALTY_CARD (talk) 20:04, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose: Galaxy was never the predecessor of Sky3, especially with both article having a sizeable amount on them, as well has completely different history through out their lifes. Galaxy being a BSB channel that lasted a year in 1990. As well as the what, 15 year in-between when BSkyB launched Sky Three. Also Galaxy had more in common with Sky1, but I would oppose that move as well. -- [[ axg ◉ talk ]] 20:41, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Strong Oppose: Not being funny but Galaxy has absolutely nothing to do with the former Sky3 at all. Where did you get the idea that they were the same channel? It's Malpass 93! (drop me a ___) 21:58, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Strong Oppose: These 2 channels have nothing what so ever to do with each other. (Ruth-2013 (talk) 07:18, 4 March 2011 (UTC))[reply]
Oppose Neither article suggests Galaxy was the predecessor of Sky Three and I can find no evidence elsewhere that indicates this was the case. Alistair Stevenson (talk) 14:52, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

yes it is, if you dont beleive go and ring BskyB your self. LOYALTY_CARD (talk) 15:44, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Strong Oppose: Complete nonsense that Galaxy is anything to do with Pick TV. Not sure where this person gets that idea from. If you ring BSkyB and ask, they will most likely have a laugh. I think "Loyalty Card" is off his tree. Please close this proposal, it's clearly done with mischievous intent. 91.85.185.30 (talk) 22:19, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Strong Oppose: there'll be no evidence in written documentation anywhere of any connection between Galaxy and Pick TV, and I know myself there is completely no connection between the two channels. I also endorse the previous suggestion to close this proposal under WP:SNOW, and may do so myself if further discussion endorses what I suspect. --tgheretford (talk) 23:24, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Galaxy Club[edit]

The section about Galaxy Club is completely unsourced, with a list of programs that includes a number of links to disambiguation pages. It seems better to me to hide the list until a source is added, so that's what I've done. Lennart97 (talk) 16:43, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dead link[edit]

The link http://www2.tv-ark.org.uk/skytv/bsb_galaxy.html no longer appears to work, i get NXDOMAIN errors when trying to open it. Please remove it or update it. Thanks! 191.135.55.141 (talk) 16:52, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also, similar dead links appears to be present on the BSB Now and BSB Power Station pages. Please update or remove them if possible. 191.135.55.141 (talk) 16:56, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
