gameboy music is the same thing as chiptune there is no thing as gameboy music genre. Chiptune is alread a sub-genre, chiptune has not your own sub-genres. 201.79.167.45 (talk) 22:26, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

removed the external link

because game midi files are not the purpose of game boy music.

Most of the more technically interested Game Boy musicians use this software.[1]

because this can not be verified, and is most likely not true. i use lsdj, and i have my reasons for doing so, but certainly not because i'm "technically interested".

and, folks, if you want to add yourself to the artist list, make sure, that your music contains at least some game boy sounds. if it's some heavy metal, or guitar oriented pop music, with absolutely no game boy in it, it simply doesn't belong here.

one more point: while i find the artist section valuable information, the wiki people don't appreciate excessive external linking too much. if this section continues to grow, it will be most likely removed.

Added Ten Thousand Free Men to artist list - makes music with only the game boy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.178.13.60 (talk) 01:59, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Artists[edit]

I removed 95% of the items in the Artist list and left only the ones with existing Wikipedia articles. Although many of them may or may not be notable Game Boy music artists, simply just putting a name here or linking to a MySpace page will not suffice I am afraid. Work on establishing a Wikipedia article on the actual artists, rather than just spamming names into Wikipedia. WAT (talk contributions) 15:47, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Trash80 has a wikipedia page and is called "pioneer of independent Game Boy music" on it, so i'm adding trash 81.231.242.15 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 00:48, 27 August 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Bubblyfish[edit]

Do not forget to mention Haeyoung Kim - she does most of the more sophisticated gameboy music stuff... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.115.18.185 (talk) 20:14, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cleaned up "Artists" section[edit]

I've deleted a lot of links as you can see here. however, I still think the list is too long. AtlasDuane (talk) 11:35, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
