Unfortunately I was unable to fully contribute to the original afd of the stub article. Notability in my eyes is justified by the creation of the recycling symbol alone. However further justification is found with these points:

  • Designer of the recycling symbol, one of the most recognisable symbols in the world
  • Conducted one of the first socio-economic studies for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • Awarded National Urbahn Prize for Architecture by the Society of American Military Engineers
  • Held numerous senior positions in influential companies in the USA and Scandanavia
  • His work has been recognised by numerous third party articles

As the disambiguation guideline says, parenthetical disambiguation should usually describe what kind of thing the topic is, not just throw in a related concept. In this case, Anderson is a designer, not a recycling, so this article would be better titled Gary Anderson (designer). This rename seems pretty obvious to me, so I'm just going to make it. If you think it needs discussion, feel free to revert. —Neil 00:35, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
