Filming Style[edit]

It'd be great if someone could make a start on a filming style section —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.150.27.58 (talk) 22:24, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Golden Sucides[edit]

Gaspar's been linked to The Golden Sucides written by Bret Easton Ellis. Is it worth mentioning in the article, as it is only rumours right now?

Citizenship.[edit]

I have edited the page as it appears that the information of him having Argentine and Italian citizenship is not correct.

I have checked various sources provided, from the Vice source(s), to the Huffington Post, to Eye Magazine, Cinema Axis, etc and they do not seem to explicitly state that he is a dual citizen of Argentina or Italy. And they don't really state his nationality/citizenship/passport situation, but do describe him as either being "Argentine-born" or "French" or "Argentine-born French". Despite his residence in the country, an interview with the Financial Times (which I have provided) states that he does not possess a French passport.[1] His lede sentence already mentions this.

I suspect this information may be WP:OR or WP:CIRCULAR, possibly coming from Noé's French-language[2] or Spanish-language[3] Wikipedia entries. The Spanish-language Wikipedia page claims that he possesses triple nationality to Argentina, France and Italy, but does not provide any proper sources for this. The only sources provided are either for Cannes awards or a quote attributed to someone else. The French-language Wiki article describes him as a "French-Argentine" (Franco-Argentin), but while he has resided in France for much of his life, an interview states that he does not possess a French passport. And if its worth mentioning, Noé's Italian-language Wikipedia page[4] only mentions that he is from Argentina and that his family fled for France in the 1970s. Thanks for checking various sources but I'm sorry to inform you they are not perfect. Indeed, He is well and truly Argentine AND Italian, as you can see in this interview of him (in French). Coralie Trinh-Thi, the interviewer, is a close friends of Noé. She co-directed with Virginie Despentes "R*pe Me" in which Gaspar Noé is thanked in the end credits.
His father Luis Felipe Noé had to leave Argentina and made passports for his children. He decided to make them Italian passports. Gaspar Noé aknowledges he doesn't speak Italian at all and barely went to Italy (not before promoting his movies there) but he's officially Argentine-Italian.
