Name origin[edit]

The article on Gaylord (as a container) suggests it was named after the company, and this article suggests it was the other way around. It seems a bit unlikely that both are correct. Given that the corporation's home town, also named Gaylord, appears to predate both, (Gaylord, Michigan was incorporated in 1922.) I suspect the correct answer is that the company was named for the location and the box got it's name from the corporation, but in any case, the etymology is unsourced and dubious. --j⚛e deckertalk 17:30, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
