This article has no information at all about how the data is collected in the first place, or indeed what the data actually is.

Exactly. I'm guessing that the sampling unit might be an individual cell, but maybe it it is a tissue. But what controls are there on the physiological state or history of the cell? The expression measure might be a protein, but that leaves out the question of how you compare proteins produced in small numbers with those produced in large numbers. And what about genes that don't code proteins? Or proteins that come from multiple genes? Infuriating. I came here to get information, not junk. Burressd (talk) 09:24, 16 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
