Fair use rationale for Image:Gidlogo.png[edit]

Image:Gidlogo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Bias?[edit]

The page reads as if it was written by the Jordanian Dairat al-Mukhabarat al-Ammah, which is possible. The most telling sentence is the following, which is part of the "Logo" section.

"The Ribbon: A ribbon written on it the holy verses "say the truth has prevailed," which means that we represent the truth, seek to implement it and fight the untrue. It also represents the base that the two swords and the two olive branches are settling on"

Please note the emphasis on we.

As a side note, holy verses should be Koranic verses, since their holiness is not an undisputed fact. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.182.56.5 (talk) 23:03, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fingernail Factory[edit]

I worked in Jordan in the mid and late eighties and the Mukhabarat's headquarters in Amman had the common nickname of 'The Fingernail Factory', for obvious grim reasons. I think this should go in the article but can't find a good source, although a google search shows that apparently it is referred to as such in the Ridley Scott film Body of Lies. 86.150.96.120 (talk) 12:36, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

(alkarama.org/ that essay on foreignpolicyjournal.com) are not "reputable" sources. The other sources are more than 10 years old and they are deliberately misrepresented by being displayed as if this is the current situation. Makeandtoss (talk) 09:07, 28 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Prime minister[edit]

GID follows the "presidency of Ministers" not the Ministry of Interior. please check that in the introduction.--حمدويه (talk) 10:52, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
