American English on this page[edit]

To be honest, I think full-on American English suits this page better because this car isn't sold in Europe and is primarily sold in South Korea and America. Plus, a lot of Americanisms outnumber the Britishisms on the page, so I think it's best to change "petrol" to "gasoline". --CarCrazedAlex586 (talk) 18:27, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As per WP:RETAIN it is advised that English variations should not be changed. Being a vehicle originated from South Korea, which doesn't use English, any English variation should be fine and should be retained. Andra Febrian (talk) 00:07, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So you are saying that all products that are manufactured outside of the US should have all their specs and measurements reflected in metric on WP? Picard's Facepalm (talk) 05:35, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Picard's Facepalm: @Andra Febrian: is talking about the language variation, basically he is saying that since the car is not produced in a native English speaking country then you shouldn't change the terms/language from one variation to another as per the WP. Well, I also said that the page made use of inconsistent words. There was "petrol" and then there was "liter" and month-day dates. Because those were outnumbering "petrol", which is British, I thought I had to change it to consistent American English, yet one revision showed that Andra was not happy about someone changing it like that earlier. Furthermore, I don't think there is any need to discuss this any further. The consensus is clear. --CarCrazedAlex586 (talk) 16:16, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure inconsistencies are fine? Please elaborate more on that. CarCrazedAlex586 (talk) 08:49, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, so Picard's Facepalm has come forward and the consensus is that full-on American English is accepted. --CarCrazedAlex586 (talk) 23:11, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
