Notable topic[edit]

This is a notable topic and encyclopedic. The ethics discussed should be included as an encyclopedia article. I am not able to find references at this time that demonstrate that the practice occurs at this time and I am asking other editors to point out such references to me as I edit. Thanks. The institutional references make it clear that such practices take place at present. I have updated the UK Human Fertilization & Embryology Authority link to point to the current list of approved conditions that can be identified through PGD. The American Journal of Bioethics articles also make it clear that the practices they discuss are not theoretical, but current. Trankuility (talk) 08:54, 18 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I get lost...[edit]

...in long discussion threads on talk pages so I started this one. Here is what I need to discuss. The medical references used in the article do not meet the MEDRS guidelines BUT I don't think all medical references need to meet MEDRS when the topic of ethics is being discussed. What do you think? I agree! Do you think that possibly renaming the article so that it doesn't appear as a medical topic might be helpful? I put the Philosophy project template here on the talk page since that is the project dealing with ethics. I might write an article on ambiguous genitalia (a medical article) that would be linked to this page. I think it is a redirect at this time. That would be the place for medical information and will include a section on ethics. I really would like to see something about ethics in the title or first sentence of this article because I think it would help readers find this important topic.
