Don's 96th Foot[edit]

The link 96th Regiment of Foot leads in fact to the 97th Queen's Own Germans (former Stuart's Minorca Regiment, eventually 96th Queen's Own Germans), a foreign corps Don was never in command. Don held a colonelcy in a different 96th Foot, a regiment raised as 2/52nd Oxfordshire in 1798 and upgragded to regimental status as the 96th in 1803.
