It appears that much of this material came from Spoor's obituary. I have access to a copy of it, but do not know what newspaper it came from. It is headlined, "G.K. Spoor Film Pioneer Dies"; the byline is Marvin Quinn. It would have been published, perhaps in Chicago (the Tribune?), within a few days of his death.
