Clergyman Father[edit]

Pious babble: "...the son of a respected Protestant (denomination uncertain) clergyman..." Just how respected was he, if even his denomination is uncertain? A "respected" clergyman with no congregation? If he's a Signer, we'll eat it on toast as our patriotic duty, but please, can we slice it a little thinner?... --05:38, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

As opposed to an infamous Protestant clergyman..? --260 15:30, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New Article[edit]

I'm in the process of converting the stub to a full article. I've replaced almost all of the text. I have about 5-6 main sources and will footnote the article over the next few days. I also have pics to include, as soon as I can figure out how to add them to the Commons. Meanwhile, any feedback would be appreciated. Allreet (talk) 07:03, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Origins[edit]

Is there any evidence to show from where in Ireland he originated? Fergananim (talk) 08:55, 7 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
