Date of death[edit]

Research from Palmer's Full Text Online: This only turned up two articles in The Times:

Report of death (5 Oct 1843) - says reprinted from the Manchester Guardian and that GWW died the previous evening.
Report of inquest (7 Oct 1843) - reports inquest held "Wednesday" at which GWW is reported to have died the previous day.

Wed was the 4th Oct in 1843. Unlikely that an evening death could be reported in the Guardian then reprinted in the next morning's Times (limited telegraphic service in 1843). Hence date of death must be 3rd Oct.

However, I will try to find Guardian report to get this exact. Cutler 19:45, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
