This page should not be deleted since the subject has written the only wine guide about Maltese wines, which has won a prestigious award. He is also the director of one of the few wine schools offering wine eductation via the internet With the same token, other wikipedia biographies of wine writers should be deleted. Oz Clark's biography, for one, has not been deleted, why discriminate against Georges Meekers? Huguettecopis (talk) 11:10, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The explanations could possibly be that 1) Oz Clark is much more notable than Georges Meekers, and 2) that this article, unlike Oz's, seems to violate a number of Wikipedia policies. Tomas e (talk) 20:16, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

COI article?[edit]

Zipone (talk · contribs) seems only to have added material on Meekers, on Meeker's school Wine Campus and his employer Emmanuel Delicata Winemaker. A suspicion about WP:COI violation is close at hand. And the edit pattern of Huguettecopis (talk · contribs) could indicate that they are one and the same. Checked out the list of Circle of Wine Writers and Meekers is duly listed. If this elite club embraces him as one of theirs, should he not be listes in Wiki as many other members. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Greatdane18 (talkcontribs) 08:22, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
How come that your only edit is this contribution to a talk page, where you classify him as a member of an "elite club" rather than read relevant Wikipedia policies? Tomas e (talk) 13:18, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
