Moved from article[edit]

Today a GEORGIA Passport is considered lower middle income passport in the world. Moreover, it has very tight and close relations with the U.S.A. and major E.U. countries on which it depends for military and financial support, It hopes that its efforts to help the USA in Iraq will eventually help it gain a simplified visa regime as in the case of Estonia and Slovakia. Though with a current PPP per capita of less that $5000 in the close proximity of a high income EU,it has a long way to go to reach the visa free travel status of $21000 of Estonia and the Czech Republic or even the $14500 of Malaysia. Hopefully, the new pro West Government might continue to manage and advance the economic progress of Georgia

It might be helpful if some qualified Georgian citizen puts up some accurate and objective information about Georgia. Also can some one put a better scanned image of the newer RED Georgian passport rather than the drab brown older passport put up here. I think the new RED passport is closer to the EU standard passport issued by EU countries.

I have lived in Georgia for 3 years from 2004-2007 and have seen considerable change in the country but I think its a veryinaccurate to compare a Georgia only just emerging from a Third World status in 2004 to a prosperous Estonia, Czech Republic or Malaysia. One only has to walk through the dingy side streets of Saburtaloa or Digomi to realise that Tbilisi has a a long way to go before it reaches Prague , Tallin or Kuala Lumpur.
