German article de:Deutsche Mode[edit]

We might create a German article de:Deutsche Mode once this reaches some proper volume. Cheers Horst-schlaemma (talk) 16:14, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've started an article sketch for German design. Feel free to help expanding it: German design -- Horst-schlaemma (talk) 11:29, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Brief history section[edit]

A history section should be included as well as traditional costumes / trachts. Special emphasis could be put on the renaissance and the Weimar Republic: When fashion became a more liberal business during the Golden Twenties, European houses were at the epicentre of new trends and Berlin was considered the vanguard fashion capital.[1]

Perhaps we could also mention the development of cosmetica (Nivea et al), with German companies pioneering in the branch of nature cosmetics (I'm curious why there's no engl. article, see de:Naturkosmetik).

Also, the most important magazines might get an article, such as Vogue Germany (compare). -- Horst-schlaemma (talk) 11:11, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Events[edit]

An events section of the article should cover the essential events centered in Berlin:

As well as some others listed here, like Baltic Fashion Week. Prior to this, articles need to be created for the most relevant ones. -- Horst-schlaemma (talk) 11:55, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Awards[edit]

Hi, is there anything similar to British Fashion Awards, Vienna Fashion Awards or niche awards like UK Lingerie Awards in Germany we may have missed so far? Cheers and thanks, Horst-schlaemma (talk) 20:38, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
