In Chandhi Chowk, I was once directed to a shop just beyond Ghantaghar. "What Ghantaghar? I don't see any" I asked. Malaiya (talk)

In case you are wondering, you can see the Chowk in this Mughal period drawing. The building opposite the caravanserai on the other side of the street was symmetrical. It was demolished to create the opening for Nai Sarak. Click thrice to zoom in. Malaiya (talk) 03:41, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Spot marked 15 is Moree Gate. The Northbrook Hotel, named after the same viceroy, popular among Europeans, was close to it.
