When built?[edit]

Blog (unreliable) sources suggest that the fort was first built as a fortified Portuguese manor house around 1550. It must have been a fort by 1672 when it was besieged by Shivaji Maharaj, who failed to take it. --Bejnar (talk) 17:35, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
