gigabeat.com?[edit]

There at one time was a startup company called gigabeat.com. Interested in finding info about that but it's been crowded off by the toshiba players http://www.zdnet.com.au/gigabeat-com-find-discover-and-play-music-online-120106102.htm —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.179.45.93 (talk) 06:31, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Gigabeat X specs[edit]

Why do people keep claiming that the X has a 2.4" (or even 2.5!) OLED screen? It is in fact the LTM024D362 from Toshiba Matsushita Display Technology, a 320x240 18-bit colour TFT screen (with only 16-bit being used by the firmware), the same as used in the Gigabeat S. We got the info from opening the player (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/GigabeatInfo), where does the OLED claim come from?

You're out of luck, brother. [1], and you know you must trust an official source. --Jw21/PenaltyKillahtalkGO'NUCKSGO!! 23:58, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, thanks for pointing that out. I will email them to fix it. Markun 08:02, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like I'm in luck after all: here is the official X30 press release from Toshiba [2] stating (translated with google) "2.4 type QVGA low temperature polysilicon TFT color liquid crystal" Markun 08:16, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Official name[edit]
