Soil effects[edit]

Is there anyone out there that can point me in the right direction to find out its effects on soil? Like chemically. I've already found that soil with Creeping Charlie has less phosphorous then soil affected by it.

All the continents[edit]

Reading the following line, It was brought to all continents of the world by European settlers,, does it mean, as in cultivated? Somehow I doubt it is growing in Antarctica. I'll be making a change, and if I'm wrong, ~~sue me~~ fix it. HuskyHuskie (talk) 01:28, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In-vitro effects of ursolic isolated from G. Hederacea edited out[edit]

Any reason not to add back in the content indicating ursolic acid, isolated from Glechoma hederacea, shows anti-viral activity against Epstein Barr? Another control method.[edit]

This site, garden.org ("The National Gardening Association (NGA) is a Vermont-based national nonprofit leader in garden-based education."), has another non-toxic method of control. For an infestation, it suggests mulching with straw, chopped leaves, layers of newspaper, landscape fabric (I suppose black plastic, too), etc, to kill the plants and seeds. I haven't tried it as I'm specializing in the never-ending zen of manual weeding: http://www.garden.org/weedlibrary/?q=show&id=2382

Better phrasing for intro[edit]

An IP editor complained that the second paragraph of the intro is confusing and I have to agree. I don't agree that it's incorrect however: The cited page says Biological control: As of 2009, no information is available on this topic; however, herbivory on ground-ivy by invertebrates is common in this plant's native range [51], suggesting that there may be potential for a biological control. which sort of fits with our text In the absence of any biological control research conducted by the USDA, although it should also mention the US Forest Service since it's a USFS source and the second half of the sentence says particularly for woodland ecosystems. Also those facts have been hijacked by someone to add some anti-herbicide text that doesn't fit, so yes the two halves of that sentence don't work together. Somehow this should be improved.
