New article[edit]

Welcome to the new gnosticism layout - please post any extensive revisions below. I'm working to get the page to a basic level of completion over the next few days (if anyone wants to help with this, that'd be great), after which I think it would be best if time was given to review the text, add, alter and edit; though I'm doing my best to remain NPOV, I'm aware that I'm not infallible, and my own knowledge doesn't cover everything so please contribute anything useful.

I think the benefit of getting the article finished prior to transferring it to the main page is to retain a cohesiveness to the article that the current one lacks and which allows an over-emphasis on aspects of gnosticism (such as conceptions of materiality) which themselves represent only a small part of the overall movement. I hope to also show a more historical, less constrictive approach to gnosticism, showing its development out of Plato and Aristotle, and on into Valentinianism and a partial extent of influence on Catharism.

Anyway, hope you all like it so far - all comments are welcome. Visual Error 23:36, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
