Possible Monsters[edit]

As far as I know, Wikipedia ain't no Crystal Ball (WP:CRYSTAL) So, why are possible kaiju (monsters, as stated in the article) listed. While useful, this information is only prediction, and as such violates the whole crystal ball policy thing. Could someone clear up if this is untrue?68.55.108.224 01:42, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's part of the roster of monsters seen in Godzilla: Save the Earth. Most of which were also featured in the Previous game Godzilla: Destroy all monsters melee.--Marhawkman 10:04, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

please please were doing this beacuse wikipedia isent a crystal ball unconfirmed kaiju are listed on www.tohokingdom.com an honest and all information toho website

People, stop putting the UNCONFIRMED monsters in the "Unspecified factions" list! They were seen at the PAX build yes, but Atari has already stated that they are not all in the game! So until the official reveals are done on either IGN or the official website, don't keep posting otherwise Deej1011 06:30, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Who added zilla as a playable monster —Preceding unsigned comment added by Godzilla's Heir (talkcontribs) 06:29, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Who keeps adding Mechagodzilla (Showa) under the Alien Faction, when he hasn't even been confirmed for a faction? -- Legodoctor05 18:52, 21st November 2007 (UTC) Well it is almost confirmed that he is an Alien, you even have the link to the IGN monster reveal where they say that MG 2 is based off the Vortaak's MechaGodzilla.

Penny Arcade Expo[edit]

As revealed originally, the monsters from the PAX copyrights should not be added unless they are on the selection screen, because it has been revealed by Pipeworks that some of that had been modified since then. --JohnVMaster 05:13, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And? They are on Toho Kingdom. Confirmed. The demo may be a beta build but it still revealed everything. Battra and everything. Angry Sun 00:34, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

Someone should add images from the Toho. Kingdom G3 site. From User:4444hhhh

Varan/Battra[edit]

Why does everyone keep removing him, he is in the copyright on Atari's Godzilla Site, which means he is in either the Wii, PSP/PS2 version or both. SG-17 13:59, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What about Battra?Pikazilla 18:42, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did not see a copyright of Varan on the main site. --Naruto134 00:00, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I thought that they would be added if we actually saw them in game. So there is your answer. Desert Spada 01:11, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Varans there know actually Godzillastar 16:06, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PlayStation 2 and Wii[edit]

What's with the monsters saying which versions they're in? They shouldn't be added until we find out which monster is in which version. --Naruto134 00:00, 1 October 2007 (UTC) We should start a page for the PS2 version. It is the same title, but the games are going to be so diverse, it's going to be hard to provide info on them both using one page. Maybe start a separate section. --User:Godzilla's Heir 7:53, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Zilla[edit]

Don't tell me they've decided not to add Zilla to the ranks! Scorpionman 14:08, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

insufficient data. Heh. We probably won't know for sure until release.--Marhawkman 16:32, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Look, if you're going to add zilla, at least put him on the unspecified factions list. I really doubt that he would be a mutant! User:Godzilla's heir 23:11, 14 October 2007(UTC)

No, don't add it because there has been nothing to even indicate Zilla as in an appearance and/or a copyright. At this time there is no data supporting for him to be in any of the games really. Desert Spada 00:43, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly, no one should be adding him in the first place, but if they're going to do so, please don't assign his faction as well. User:Godzilla's Heir 5:39, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Toho Kingdom removed him from the "Unconfirmed" list. Why is that? Scorpionman 19:43, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
See above^(edit by Desert Spada)--Marhawkman 22:56, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Military[edit]

If anyone knows where the UFOs are seen/mentioned, please cite their references. User:Godzilla's Heir 12:47, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could be just vandalism. Unless, of course, the UFO's are referring to the Vortaak. Scorpionman 00:34, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That was true of the last two games.--Marhawkman 01:06, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, but I haven't seen them or the super X3 yet. User:Godzilla's Heir 12:47, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How can the military even be present here when the cities are all pretty much decimated? Scorpionman 02:39, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They're probably just sent there. Most of the cities don't even have a military base anyway, so they would still be intact. 13:32, 3 November 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Godzilla's Heir (talkcontribs)

Release Date[edit]

There's been a bit of confusion about the release date, Atari stated that it comes out on Dec.5th, they set up an ad for Nov.20th, I don't even know where people are getting Dec.12th... If someone is going to change the release date, put up the reference source, please. User:Godzilla's Heir 17:31, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Wii version comes out Dec. 5th, while the PS2 and DS version came out today(Nov. 20). SG-17 (talk) 01:51, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When will they release the game in Europe? --Legodoctor05 18:57, 21 Nvember 2007 (UTC)

Godzilla '54[edit]

Why is "Godzilla '54" being featured in the game? I don't understand why they don't just put "Godzilla (Showa)" in, since the Godzilla '54 is essentially the Showa Godzilla. 68.249.143.152 (talk) 19:22, 19 November 2007 (UTC) "Showa Godzilla has defferences from 54' in terms of his mass, agility, and power. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Godzilla's Heir (talkcontribs) 21:55, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Some fans concenter godzilla'54 seprate from the Showa since the Showa was a different Godzilla, but you do make a good point. --4444hhhh (talk) 00:44, 20 November 2007 (UTC)4444hhhh[reply]

Also too, the varitons is misleading. For example, godzilla 90's is the same godzilla in Godzilla 1985--4444hhhh (talk) 00:44, 20 November 2007 (UTC)4444hhhh[reply]

The main reason is because they look different. If you say Godzilla Showa, it goes from Gojira to Terror of Mechagodzilla and Godzilla changes drastically. Desert Spada (talk) 04:56, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The various forms from the Millenium series also look different, and according to Toho timeline are fundamentally different. They should have "Godzilla (Showa)" instead of "Godzilla '54", "Godzilla (Heisei)" instead —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scorpionman (talkcontribs) 03:40, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What I don't understand is godzilla 54 and kiryu as seperate kaiju. (watch the kiryu saga for more info)Pikazilla (talk) 20:59, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Battra[edit]

Someone please tell User:Naruto134 that Battra will not be in the game, because I'm done arguing him. --4444hhhh (talk) 02:55, 20 November 2007 (UTC)4444hhhh[reply]

He's in the PS2 version. Desert Spada (talk) 04:56, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Released[edit]

The game is released already (the PS2 version is). The future tag needs to be removed. --Naruto134 00:00, 21 Nvember 2007 (UTC)

DS[edit]

Isn't there a DS version as well? It's not mentioned in the article. --Optichan (talk) 17:10, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hedorah![edit]

Since this talk page has simply become a fan blog page....

Why no Hedorah!, he was one of the most differant (dare i say avant garde?...no,lol, but he was dif) characters in the entire series, had huge potential for a great playable character (his various form and projectile attacks from the film) and is such an underrated character, much like Varan but, eh

I agree, how can they not put hedorah in?Pikazilla (talk) 20:58, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And they should have put up Showa Mogeura just to change it up a bit from the last game.

So un Wikipedia but eh,lol —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.24.251.138 (talk) 09:48, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hedorah wasn't added due to the fact that he would have required several unique shading and rendering programs written specifically for him. It would be pretty hard for him to fight physically as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Godzilla's Heir (talkcontribs) 10:00, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BSPikazilla 17:39, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Very true. Hedorah dosn't seem like that type of monster to play as. He has no legs, no definate arms, and I cant see him winning any fights. If any monster is to still be revealed, I doubt its hedorah. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.4.171.150 (talk) 00:51, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputes?[edit]

Is there anyway to get rid of that stupid disputes tag? The main dispute we had was settled a long time ago. Anyway, Atari Forums has confirmed SpaceGodzilla as a Mutant, Toho Kingdom confirmed Godzilla 90s as an Earth Defender, and Mr. Strange told me at Atari Forums Godzilla 54 was EDF as well. The PS2 version is out and seperate section or article for it should be formed. --98.193.61.220 (talk) 04:07, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dates[edit]

I have just 2 things to say. First of all, why does it say the game was released for the Wii on November 20? The Official website says it will be released on December 5! Second, why is there arguing? The game has already been released for the PS2 and DS, and everything for the Wii has been confirmed. 68.81.252.24 (talk) 18:48, 23 November 2007 (UTC)68.81.252.24[reply]

Ah, but not everyhting has been confirmed for the Wii like what faction is SpaceGodzilla, Godzilla '54 and Mechagodzilla Showa are they in. What role does the Gotengo play in the game? etc. --Legodoctor05 20:39, 23 November 2007

Atari Forums have confirmed SpaceGodzilla as a mutant and in Mechagodzilla Hesei's profile it mentions he was "inspired by the Vortakk Mechagodzilla", meaning the Showa Mechagodzilla is an Alien. I'll post links later. --98.193.61.220 (talk) 00:47, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Final Character for PS2[edit]

Even thoguh the PS2 version has been released, not all the characters are known. I found on Tohokingdom, when looking at the first 11 seconds of the new video for the first time showing Battra in has a grid of monsters to choose different characters to play, but the one in the centre has a question mark over the square and is a character that hasn't been confirmed. What do you think? --Legodoctor05 20:46, 23 November 2007

Random. --Naruto134 00:00, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • I dont think it should be a poll...

Kaiju to Monsters[edit]

I know kaiju is the right way to call these japanese monsters, but shouldn't the section name "Kaiju announced" change to "Monsters announced"? I mean they don't call them kaiju in the games and the other Godzilla game pages don't call them kaiju. --Naruto134 00:00, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

SpaceGodzilla[edit]

Why is SpaceGodzilla in the Mutant Faction? The link that "proves" this merely leads to an Atari blog where a guy named Mr. Strange claims SpaceGodzilla to be with the mutants. I don't find this conclusive proof at all, and I won't be convinced until something from either TohoKingdom or the official website comes out and verifies what he is. For now, please place him back in the unspecified faction. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.234.50.57 (talk) 17:38, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, Mr. Strange is one of the most important Pipeworks staff members, though he left recently left. Lastly, TohoKingdom is not a 100% reliable source, as it is not official. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.222.56.238 (talk) 18:35, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but I have to agree with 71.234.50.57 becuase there is simply not enough proof, O.K he is probably a Mutant but just saying a sentence like "Despite the fact that Chris is 110% certain that Space Godzilla is an Alien... he's a mutant" just isn't enough proof to say he is a Mutant. If IGN, TohoKingdom and the official Godzilla website can confirm that SpaceGodzilla is a Mutant, that will be enough proof to prove he is a Mutant, but for the time being someone should place him under the unspecified faction. --Legodoctor05 21:32, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mr. Strange was a character designer for Godzilla: Unleashed and nobody knows better than him. --98.193.61.220 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 05:28, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah! Even if it is true, I find it highly dissapointing not to mention a little illogical that Space Godzilla is a mutant. I mean, just the fact that he has the word "space" in his name should be an indicator that he's an alien (and he technically is). Now the Alien faction sucks because they only have around 5 kaiju and only one worth playing (Mechagodzilla 1). --Verogg the Philosopher (talk) 22:25, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MechaGodzilla's faction[edit]

It was stated in Hesei Mechagodzilla's bio he was insprited by the Vortaak Mechagodzilla. Anyone see what I'm trying to say here? --98.193.61.220 (talk) 03:04, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, and in Mechagodzilla's Gamespot Monster Battle bio it also says he's a Vortakk mech, too. So he should really be put back under the Alien faction.76.222.56.238 03:11, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unlockable Monsters[edit]

Who has added 'Wii secret unlockable' monsters into wikipedia. There's Zilla under the Earth Defenders, Hedorah and Meltdown Godzilla under the Mutants, Showa Godzilla under the Global Defence Force. Also including Zone Fighter, Monster X and Kaiser Ghidorah in Unspecified faction as a bosses. Who has added all these monsters in without any links to even prove they are in the game? Also inlcuded, who has deleted the Obsidius and Krystalak pages--Legodoctor05 23:24, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Unspecified faction"[edit]

Ok, really. What the heck is Battra doing under Unspecified faction WHEN HIS FACTION IS SPECIFIED!!! Really, and the PS2 version is out, too. So, someone put him under the Mutants, since he is one. Oh, and also, Godzilla 54' was also revealed to be an Earth Defender by Simon Strange.76.222.56.238 03:11, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Woah, dont't stress. Not everyboddy knows about what faction Battra was in the first place, even me. If somebody put a link in to show he was a Mutant, then people would stop placing him under Unspecified Faction. Also, can there be a link added to Godzilla 54' to show he is an Earth Defender? --Legodoctor05 20:26, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Story ending issues[edit]

Who's been editing the story endings? I haven't seen most of the scenes specified.

  • Here's another theory, who cares.
