Ummm, unofficially Goldy is a guy[edit]

I have been a U of M student for a year now. Goldy Gopher is almost always referred to as he. Even at his history blurb at heritage hall Goldy is refered to as he. Also check this out at the U of M official website http://www1.umn.edu/urelate/coolstuff/goldygopher.html . Also Goldy does not look adrogynous at all. His face and body are all clearly male. I have never see Goldy not be referred to as he on any long offical U of M thing that talks about him. So, should we do anything about this?

We could mention that Goldy is almost always referenced as male, but the official position of the U is that Goldy has no gender.

On Goldy looking like a bucktoothed chipmunk[edit]

I made this change about three weeks ago, enhancing Goldy's description to being that of a buck-toothed chipmunk. Admittedly, I'm new to wikipedia, and don't know how to cite. But here's the link: http://www.bookrags.com/wiki/Goldy_Gopher

I received a warning about how I was abusing wikipedia for this edit. Could somebody please explain to me why describing Goldy as a chipmunk (except with buck-teeth which Chipmunks don't have) is abusive. Quite frankly, I think the 4th grader doing their first ever research paper on gophers deserves to know that Goldy does not look like a Gopher and to deny this FACT is nothing more than revisionist science.

Sorry for getting all emotional, I'm just a little upset over some users targeting others because they don't like what their revisions have to say.
