Origin of the name[edit]

Where in the Book of Kings? I found nothing of the sort. In the Hebrew version of Wikipedia, the name is said to have been offered by Ze'ev Vilnay, derived from the word Hagana (defense or protection), as the kibbutz was established so close to the Syrian border. 77.126.33.133 (talk) 19:51, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The name is not found in the Book of Kings, it's taken from the Book of Kings. See 2 Kings 19:34:
וְגַנּוֹתִי אֶל הָעִיר הַזֹּאת לְהוֹשִׁיעָהּ לְמַעֲנִי וּלְמַעַן דָּוִד עַבְדִּי.
