Misleading title[edit]

The present title suggests it was a programme broadcast some time in 2014. It would be better if it were changed to 'Good Morning Britain (TV series starting 2014)' (and similarly for the 1983 series of the same name). --Brian Josephson (talk) 13:18, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's the disambiguation convention for all TV programmes. If two names clash you disambiguate them by the year the programme started. We keep disambiguations as short as possible. - X201 (talk) 14:02, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Would you be allowed to refer to it as Series instead of Programme? Titles should be as clear as possible. --Brian Josephson (talk) 14:33, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I see from various references that the convention seems to be to use the word 'show', which I think would distinguish it well from a single programme. That would make the title 'Good Morning Britain (2014 TV show)'. How about that? --Brian Josephson (talk) 14:38, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
TV programme is the correct disambiguation. See Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(television)#Non-series_television - X201 (talk) 15:31, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The article says 'The show features interviews with celebrities and politicians as well as discussion of topical issues, with a reputation for often heated debates', so it seems to me that it could very well qualify as a Talk Show, defined in the following way on the naming convention page that you cite: 'A talk show (or chat show in British English) is a television programming or radio programming genre structured around the act of spontaneous conversation.' --Brian Josephson (talk) 15:47, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's not a talk show. It uses elements of a talk show, but isn't a talk show in it's entirety. - X201 (talk) 10:16, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Given that it is the worst of all corporate media styles, what about calling it Infotainment? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.149.166.177 (talk) 09:13, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

– It's been over 7 years. The 80s programme will never be as notable as the current one. Unreal7 (talk) 16:48, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. What basis do you have for that statement? -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:46, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. As per Necrothesp + This isn't a two article question, there's also the Aztec Camera song to consider. - X201 (talk) 15:56, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
