Topeka[edit]

I'm not sure what to do about Topeka. According to the article it didn't actually change it's name to Google. It's not needed on a disambig page per se--the only reason to keep it I can see is that if someone is looking for "what was that town that changed it's name to Google" they might find it here.

Thoughts?

It was an April fool's joke. I've unlisted it, since it is non-information. +mt 07:44, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Google bun[edit]

   I removed

Google bun, a confectionary [sic] from Enid Blyton's 1943 book The Magic Faraway Tree

since that article has no mention (let alone information) on that confection.
In the event that someone comes up w/ a mention of the term to go w/in the article, that doesn't look foolish in that context, there could be a "See also" entry for it on the accompanying Dab. However, AHDict has "confectionary" as an adjective, "confectionery" w/ three senses re confectioners (each too broad to apply to a single confection), and "confection", applying to this case. British English may differ (or not, so give us a ref on an appropriate talk page, if the book is British).

Googol[edit]

I would guess that a lot of people visit this page because they are confused about Google vs. googol. Mitigating that, Google has googol listed prominently as "not be be confused with", but it seems like it would be good to make the listing of googol on this page more prominent. Is there a proper way to do that? Ccrrccrr (talk) 17:57, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
