Voice Search vs. Voice Local Search[edit]

Is Google Voice Local Search the same service as Google Voice Search? Should both of these be in the same article or in two separate articles? --Jak86 18:06, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, they are the same. This page hasn't been updated in a long time and is now outdated. I'm going to have it redirect to GOOG-411. --MacAddct1984 06:10, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No they are not the same, so I removed the redirection. The original page, which is gone now, was a historical reference to one of Google's older projects, so it should not be redirected. ----EchoRevamped 1:38, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Voice Actions on Android[edit]

It seems many of these features have also been integrated into Voice Actions on Android 2.2. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.231.150.64 (talk) 01:58, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong URL / confusing article[edit]

This article gives the wrong URL. It leads to a page with no mention of voice search, which seems to be an application. I would assume that a voice search doesn't need to be installed as an application? If it does, then the article should refer to it as a computer program, like Google Earth, so that people know it's not part of the normal search engine. Overall, this article is really confusing. If there really is some way to do a search using your voice, the article should provide explanation of how one goes about using that feature (eg download a program, or go to a certain website).
