This link was added to the article after discussion on the WP Reliable Sources Noticeboard. See: WP:RSN exercise. No information from the CCHT link has been put into the body of the article in the form of citations because it has not yet been verified for 100% accuracy by the Victoria County History project for Cumbria. Pronunciation[edit]

With the Cumbria shootings in the news, I've heard the name of this place pronounced /'gɒsfɔːθ/ on the television news. Is this indeed the local pronunciation? The input of anyone with local knowledge would be appreciated, and better still would be a reference to a published source such as the Longman Pronunciation Dictionary so that we could put an IPA transcription in the article. I ask because I believe that Gosforth in Newcastle is pronounced differently, as /'gɒsfəθ/. Thanks. Old Man of Storr (talk) 13:32, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
