boat/radial aircraft engines[edit]

Didn't Dr Feder make plans for a flat bottomed boat powered by radial aircraft engines? In several books: Invasion by Kenneth Macsey, Invasion by Peter Flemming, etc; they mention that a Nazi Official named Dr Feder made plans for such a boat to be used during the Cross-Channel Invasion of England during Operation Sealion (Unternehmen SeeLowe.) Anyone with original source references please Edit them into the Article. Thanks, Whiterussian1974.

"Economist" issue[edit]

SINCE THERE IS NO OBVIOUS WAY TO START A NEW TOPIC, I AM INSERTING THIS NOTE HERE. It is a flat-out lie to claim that Gottfried Feder was an "economist" and that he was an "economic theoretician". There is no evidence that he ever studied economics, either at college or "on his own". German historians nowadays agree that Fascist whining in the 1930s about the evils of finance capital was just a cover for anti-Semitism. Gottfried Feder was the top Nazi propagandist against the excessive power of banks. He was an engineer. He knew nothing about economics. His book “Gegen die Hochfinanz” [Opposing Powerful Finance] is merely a collection of stump speeches addressed to clueless yokels, in which he promised that once the powerful financiers had been vanquished, there would be no more interest charges, no more taxes, pie in the sky, etc. ad nauseam. In his book he provides no analysis and no data on Jewish finance or on finance in general, either in Germany or elsewhere. In this book he does not address economic issues at all. It was all just eyewash.

I think we should call him a "German civil engineer and self-taught economist". Tadao Ando is called a self-taught architect, analogically, Feder was a self-taught economist. --

Ando actually practices building design, and is recognized as a fellow architectualtizer by formally trained, legally licensed architects worldwide. Feder was only seen as a real economist by cranks..i.e. nazis et al. Big difference. Anmccaff (talk) 15:53, 18 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As I said on my talk page, after being asked; in relation to this bio, he was a civil engineer and became active in economic, racial (anti-semitic) and political affairs of Germany. The Nazi Party considered him an "economic expert". So attribution can be made there. He represented the NSDAP (in East Prussia) in the Reichstag from 1924 to 1936. Feder was state secretary in the Reich Economics Ministry from 1933 to 1934. And also Reich Commissioner for Housing for 1934 to 1935. He fell out of favor when Strasser did as Hitler needed the corporate and business leaders support and wanted to re-arm Germany. I completely disagree with the claim that he was a self taught economist, because he obviously knew nothing about economics. I have a masters degree in economics. What the Nazi party called him is irrelevant. The statement "So attribution can be made there" means you believe Nazi propaganda. Feder knew nothing about economics.
