Yes, she remained unmarried and lived with Mary Garland Smith for the last 20+ years of her life. When she died, she left life tenancy rights to Garland in her will. Two academic sources to add[edit]

First time contributor, so bear with me. Grace Arents, the niece of Lewis Ginter, is mentioned throughout the official biography of Lewis in Gilded Age Icon by Brian Burns. There is more biographical and historic data in his sequel, Gilded Age Richmond: Gaiety, Greed & Lost Cause Mania. There is an entire chapter devoted to Grace in the latter book.
