The trivia section of this article seems highly doubtful to me. 84.241.197.188 (talk) 00:06, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

faulty statement[edit]

i replaced the following statement: '‘Embankment’ and 'quay' are better translation options for gracht than the word ‘canal’, too much ingrained; perhaps the word ‘gracht’ could better be maintained, whatever the pronunciation.'

as it is misinformed (embankment and quay are equivalents to kaai/kade, i.e. referring to the structures on land facing the gracht rather than to the gracht itself (the water)), unclear (canal is "too much ingrained"... what does that mean?) and simply wrong (pronunciation has nothing to do with any of this) 84.198.207.82 (talk) 20:44, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Vaart is mostly used for canals that have/had tow paths afaik. 88.159.79.148 (talk) 17:09, 29 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Frisian[edit]

The article is using the word Frisian. There are articles Frisian languages and West Frisian language, however.Sarcelles (talk) 11:25, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
