perhaps you should add that Grand Pre is located right next to wolfville, a well known local town with a well known universty, Acadia. This could help give a better idea of where it is for people. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.222.125.214 (talk)

Not to merge[edit]

Grand Pre historical site is completely different from Grand Pre community. It may contain the same information but I don't believe they should merge. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bluetooth954 (talkcontribs)

Louisiana Connection[edit]

It's my understanding that the Louisiana Cajuns / Acadians did NOT migrate from the deportation to the Atlantic Coast English colonies, but rather from the second wave of deportations to Britain and France. From there, they migrated to Spanish Louisiana, taking oaths of allegiance to the Spanish Crown. (Longfellow's poem contributed to the misconception that the first wave overland migrations brought the "Cajuns" to Louisiana.) If so, the section alleging an Atlantic Coast overland migration should be emended or excised. 184.186.15.159 (talk) 02:41, 8 October 2016 (UTC)Unsigned[reply]
