The thing to do with the "one-liners", perhaps, is make them all links. But this has to be correctly.

I'm guessing that this thing being as a response to Japan's industry means it originated in other country, maybe the U.S. Someone should clarify this.130.215.112.207 18:25, 2 September 2007 (UTC) John S.[reply]

A good observation, but not so much Japanese industry as MITI which is a governmental ministry. But this also went beyond the initial response. 143.232.210.46 (talk) 00:48, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NAE?[edit]

How do these differ from the National Academy of Engineering set of grand challenges? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:02, 31 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Would this have been better as a disambiguation article?[edit]

Why wouldn't this be a disambiguation article? I queried over 4,000 grand challenges in different organizations and professions... Cheers ... Risk Engineer (talk) 16:44, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I setup a disambiguation page on this topic and have moved all the misc. other challenges to that page and then deleted those form this page. I also put a page notice at top of article ... Cheers! .. Risk Engineer (talk) 18:55, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

Merged, unopposed

I propose that Grand Challenges (disambiguation) be merged into Grand Challenges. The former article is not a valid disambiguation page, it is an article that discusses the same general concept as the latter article. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:54, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
