Relevance of current photo[edit]

It doesn't make sense to me that the photo currently with the article is of a kurta (Islamic example), when the text only refers to the Irish version of the Grandfather shirt. Need to either extend the article to discuss this style of short in other cultures, or find a photo of an Irish example. 125.209.128.119 (talk) 05:32, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal[edit]

Can we consider merging this article with the band collar stub, and possibly Henley shirt too?

New refs[edit]

I found a couple of refs that could possibly help:

Irrelevant[edit]

"In popular culture, a variety of traditional Irish clothing was featured on the BBC series Ballykissangel and the Irish folk band, The Clancy Brothers were often photographed wearing traditional Irish clothes." Unless there is a source saying that Irish grandfather shirts were worn on the TV progam, or by the folk musicians, this this sentence does not belong in this article. The article is specifically about a shirt style, not Irish clothing in general. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.242.72.96 (talk) 14:46, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
