Term?[edit]

Is there some simpler / shorter term than "graphics tablet/screen hybrid" that we could use to refer to these things? It's a bit long to write out in the text.. --212.16.103.33 (talk) 09:59, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Priceworthy?[edit]

I'd like to have a list of different models and their price, but I start it here, since it might look like adverticement. Does anybody think it can be included:

  • Wacom Cintiq - more than $2000 [1]
  • HITACHI T17SXL 17" StarTablet - $2000 [2]
  • USync's 17" Tablet LCD Monitor - ? [3]
  • USync's 15" Tablet LCD Monitor - ? [4]

Not sure if it makes sense to put prices there - maybe just mention that they are expensive (due to monopoly position through patents?). A list of existing products would fit in though, I think. --212.16.103.33 (talk) 08:10, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I added links to the manufacturers mentioned above to the article. I know that lists are discouraged, but so far there only seems to be a few, and it's more easy to read than embedding it in the paragraph texts. --212.16.103.33 (talk) 09:59, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Related technology[edit]

I just thought it would be good to mention Tablet PC's as a related concept, hence my addition of a 'See Also' section. --58.110.132.123 (talk) 20:33, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DIY graphics tablet screens[edit]

Combining an existing tablet and screen seems to be a hack growing in popularity to avoid the high cost of commercial solutions, as it can be done with cheap used components, and doesn't require any electronics work. E.g. this project by Bongofish and the forums related to it. Not sure if / how it should be mentioned in the article. --212.16.103.33 (talk) 08:08, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Added a short reference to this in the article. --212.16.103.33 (talk) 09:59, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
