"income tax was raised from 22.5 pence to 25 pence in the pound"

Does this mean 1s 10d ha'penny (9.375%) to 2s 1d (10.4166667%); or is the person confused about old money Jooler 00:43, 6 Mar 2004 (UTC)
It's been changed to read "income tax was raised from 4s 6d to 5s in the pound" Rojomoke (talk) 11:23, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Draconian seems needless[edit]

"which immediately instituted a round of draconian cuts in public spending and wages"

Do we need adjectives like draconian in a encyclopedia article? Also, why is draconian linked? While almost every word in an article could be linked to something, the draconian constitution has very little to do with this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Snookumz (talkcontribs) 14:42, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No caption for image[edit]

Can someone fix please? Cheers. 93.144.72.129 (talk) 12:47, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
