"Fifth holiest" site in Islam[edit]

This seems to be a dubious claim that is most likely only recognized in Turkey or in the nearby region, and should not be repeated without qualification unless there really is wide agreement from reliable sources. Even when with regards to the "fourth holiest" site in Islam, there are several alleged candidates in different regions, including Kairouan, Damascus, Hebron, Harar, etc (see sources for these at Kairouan#Religion and the footnote there). Some of those same cities are cited as the "fifth holiest" in other sources (e.g. Kairouan, Damascus), and many Morocco travel guides claim that Moulay Idriss Zerhoun holds this status. In each case, you find various sources stating unequivocally that X city/mosque is the 4th/5th-holiest city in Islam; clearly they can't all be right. R Prazeres (talk) 21:59, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
