Er I just thought it should be noted that this page reads like an ad... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.99.185.237 (talk) 02:01, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Curtis JonesGreen Velvet – Per WP:STAGENAME ("The name used most often to refer to a person in reliable sources is generally the one that should be used as the article title, even if it is not the person's "real" name" ... "If people published under one or more pen names and/or their legal name, the name most frequently used in independent reliable sources ought to be selected"). The subject of the article is better known by his stage names Green Velvet and Cajmere than his real name Curtis Jones. It looks like Green Velvet has been used in independent reliable sources more frequently than Cajmere, but either Green Velvet or Cajmere is fine with me. Sources: Billboard, Chicago Reader (2000), Chicago Reader (2002), DJ Mag, Houston Press, Miami New Times, Mixmag, Pitchfork, The Quietus, Rolling Stone, SF Weekly, The Stranger, The Washington Post, and XLR8R. 118.8.140.74 (talk) 08:18, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose - every source you used as evidence also uses his real name. "Green Velvet" seems to be only used in certain performance contexts. -- Netoholic @ 12:06, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, also he's not currently the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC so it might be time to disambiguate.--Ortizesp (talk) 15:00, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, he isn't known as Curtis Jones. His albums are under this name and the press here and here go by that name.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 11:56, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
