Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here) --01gnome (talk) 16:25, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Gregory C. Marshall Naval Architects is one of the most prominent Naval Architecture firms in the world. It designs yachts and commercial vessels on all continents on earth with the exception of Antarctica. The annual construction of the vessels out of this design firm exceeds 300 million dollars and employs more than 2000. In the 20 years it has been in business it has designed more than 2 Billion dollars worth of vessels. To say it "lacks importance" is simply wrong [1]01gnome (talk) 16:25, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

As the page creator, the objective was to continually add Facts/ history and details of Luxury Yachts. The page I created for Gregory C. Marshall to be a reference as the company would be used as a source for the accurate information of these yachts as they are an intricate part of the design with owners and builders. If I am not allowed to create Luxury Wiki pages, can you suggest another method. Thank you.Jdburgess (talk) 17:39, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

01gnome, if it did design yachts and commercial vessels on Antarctica, then it might be more notable. On what do you base your claim that it is "one of the most prominent Naval Architecture firms in the world"? Do you have any WP:RS describing where it's vessels are used and by whom? Notability[edit]

Unless better sources can be found, I'd suggest the notability of the 18-man company does not look very impressive. In fact I'm surprised this article is still here. It looks like a list of boat models and links to the two more illustrious naval companies with which it has collaborated. Wikipedia:NOTDIRECTORY applies. Martinevans123 (talk) 23:11, 19 January 2015 (UTC) p.s. the award link should certainly be added, if nothing else.[reply]
