Adm. Halsey and Marcus' father

Under the heading "Life and career", it states "(Marcus') father died in the Philippine typhoon that sank the USS Hull, on which he was second-in-command, when his mother was three months pregnant.[3] Admiral William Halsey had ordered the Third Fleet to sail into Typhoon Cobra 'to see what they were made of'." The citation provided is to an article that Marcus himself wrote for an on-line journal. However, this account does not jibe with the information about Halsey or Typhoon Cobra, in their respective Wikis, where it makes the case that Halsey was simply misinformed about the location and strength of the typhoon, rather than attempting some testing of his mens' mettle. I don't have a dog in this race, but I think that the statement should either be backed up from reliable sources, removed, or couched as simply Marcus' opinion. I have commenced a tidy-up of the Bibliography section using cite templates. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. Feel free to continue. Sunwin1960 (talk) 03:34, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
