Blanking sources[edit]

User:LionAjk cliams that "the sources used they arent upto wikipedia standards and are from christian apologetic websites just look at tge source from robert spencer"; which is a false claim.

  1. In this edit [1], he remove a bunch of sources, among them being sources from The Jewish Press, HAL-SHS (Sciences de l'Homme et de la Société), The Oxford Handbook of European Islam, Journal of Democracy, Telegraph, Cambridge University Press, Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology, Oxford University Press, the Guardian, Greenwood Publishing Group, ABC-CLIO, University of Oslo Press, etc. None of these sources are "Christian apologetic websites" or Christian publishers, and none of the material that has been removed are based on sources from "robert spencer" as User:LionAjk claims.
  2. In this edit [2], the new claim is not supported by the two references.
  3. In this edit [3], sources mention Javanese Muslims, your changes do not reflect the cited sources.
  4. In this edit [4], you removed sources from Cambridge University Press and Pew Research Center that deal with Buddhist population growth. You did not explain why you keeping removing sources here; this is vandalism.desmay (talk) 13:54, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

As an outside observer, I've been struck by the tone of this page[edit]

Hello,

I found it surprising the level of seeming vitriol against Islam contained throughout this page.

I understand that people editing these pages are most likely of a religious nature and with their own historical narratives, but this page feels fairly useless, when read as a whole, as it's hard to see anything other than grievances and selective narratives.

E.g. there seems to be ridiculous views that "Muslim women are uneducated and reproduce more" which is a wholly generalized statement and an explanation not offered anywhere for other growth rates. Where Islam is seemingly written as causing atrocities against Hindus, there's nothing equivalent about e.g. Christian genocides against Muslims (such as in Bosnia), or Hindus against Muslims (Gujarat riots), or Christians against Jews (Holocaust) etc. It's only Muslims which seem to appear in the other religions' sections and referenced to fairly right wing sources.

I think this page could do with rationalization and standardisation as it feels prejudiced throughout. 92.40.199.84 (talk) 19:51, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome to make necessary changes with proper referencing from reliable sources. Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia that anyone can edit in good faith, and tens of millions already have! Matteoben (talk) 16:56, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
