Untitled[edit]

Previously, there were seperate entries on Guemes, Washington and on Guemes Island, Washington. The former, referred to the island community and the latter referred to the island geography. It seems unusual on wikipedia to separate the two, so I have combined them into one article. I have tried to leave the original articles largely intact but did make some minor grammatical corrections. Midwestmax 06:31, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Washingon vs. Washington State[edit]

‘Most people outside the US (and many within) think of D.C. when seeing just “Washington”.’ — User:Strebe
‘Washington State place names don't need disambiguation esp. when they include the county. Compare Whidbey Island or Bainbridge Island for examples.’ — ‎User:Brianhe

That’s not an argument. It’s an assertion with no persuasiveness. Strebe (talk) 08:07, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This would be better resolved at WP:WikiProject United States due to its broad scope potentially affecting every Washington geographic article, rather than argument or otherwise just between two editors, and very few people are likely to see this particular talkpage. — Brianhe (talk) 10:42, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
