  • Hrm, interesting. The article appears to bear similarities—and in many cases identical text—from the History section on down to the article located at /article.cfm/sothebys_auction_guennol_lioness on server artgalleries.suite101.com. The problem is, that is a blacklisted site, so a) I can't give the link whole, you'll have to splice it together and b) it's blacklisted for a reason, I'd presume. I'm checking edit history dates next. —C.Fred (talk) 02:17, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • And this article dates only to December 5; Parchin's article dates to October. I have deleted the offending paragraphs as infringement (per the note right below the edit box, among other places). —C.Fred (talk) 02:22, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not on display at Brooklyn Museum anymore?[edit]

The first paragraph says the statue is still on display at the Brooklyn Museum, but I believe this information is outdated. The statue does not show up in the museum's database if you search for 'lioness'.[1] Redrawnoxen (talk) 02:17, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It is a loan, not owned by the musem, and these often aren't in a collection database. Johnbod (talk) 13:42, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

More historical/contextual information, less collector bragging rights[edit]

It is remarkable that such an amazing and interesting piece of art is only talked about in terms of how much it sold for at auction. I will be doing research in order to upload some more worthwhile content and would love if someone could help me. This piece has more meaning than simply its price. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dioxazine (talkcontribs) 23:13, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
