Requested move 30 August 2015[edit]

The result of the move request was: move the dab page to the base location, disambiguate the Cuban runner. It's pretty that the consensus is that there's no primary topic. However, I'm going to move the Cuban athlete to Héctor Herrera (runner) because the IP's concerns are valid. I realise that, seeing as most people supported "athlete", this is a bit of a supervote, but I don't think anyone will have a problem with it. Please drop me a note on my talk page if you do. – Per Wikipedia:PRIMARYTOPIC, player's article has the most traffic among people named Héctor Herrera. If you search the name "Hector Herrera" on Google, it is really hard to find anything about the athlete or the fencer. In the month of August (as of August 30), the footballer's article has been viewed 4,782 times while the fencer and the athlete's articles have been viewed 423 times combined as shown below

  • Support move - As PurpleNGold notes, the article on the footballer is the most likely of the three to be searched. He is quite notable as a full international and high-profile professional footballer. Presumably a hatnote could be used to provide disambiguation for users searching for the other articles. Jogurney (talk) 21:26, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
User:Jogurney FYI there's already a disambiguation page. In ictu oculi (talk) 06:59, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose as proposed all three Hectors are athletes. "(athlete)" is ambiguous and cannot be used. The name fails WP:PRECISE as it is ambiguous disambiguation. We've already discussed this at WP:SPORT, and we don't use "athlete" when it is ambiguous. Héctor Herrera (runner) or Héctor Herrera (track athlete) can be used -- 70.51.202.113 (talk) 04:46, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose 1st move, support 2nd - instead move Héctor Herrera (disambiguation) to baseline, all links to the footballer are already disambiguated and this will help pick up further mislinks. Most traffic isn't the only consideration, articles in different fields attract different readers. He is a footballer. In ictu oculi (talk) 06:44, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

– Absolutely no contest here. The footballer has received more than 100,000 views since July last year - that's almost 96% of the overall traffic. The next highest is, ironically, the dab page, although even that only has 3,847 views.[1] Unreal7 (talk) 22:37, 29 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC and nom's stats. We've had a chance to see what our readers are looking for, and it's this article. Dohn joe (talk) 16:07, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
