Why[edit]

Why do we need this article? Isn't it redundant to the UH-1Y Venom and AH-1Z Viper? Is there any info here that is not already. or should not be, covered in those articles? - BillCJ (talk) 23:42, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was created out of the need for brevity in a couple of other articles... rather than explaining with a couple sentances what the upgrade program does, one can simply use a single link. It will also let me prune some of the duplicate information out of the AH-1Z and UH-1Y articles, though I'm going to take my time and do that delicately. bahamut0013 00:12, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I still don't think it's necessary, so I'll be taking this to AFD. - BillCJ (talk) 00:22, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article seems marginal, but probably of some use. I don't see any generic H-1 program info in the UH-1Y and AH-1Z articles that need to be removed. -Fnlayson (talk) 15:13, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nice Article[edit]

Nice article you've made here, thought about taking it to GA? Let me know if anyone tries to delete will you? Ryan4314 (talk) 03:32, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

fact tag on fuselage length[edit]

A fact tag has been placed on the line denoting the increased length of the UH-1Y. Specifically, the text reads "A 21-inch insert just forward of the main door has been installed for more capacity." Now, I don't have a reference specifically noting this fact, but most of the refs that list characteristics do note that the Venom is 44 feet long, while the TwinHuey is 41 feet. The sentance is obviously off by at least a few inches, but does simple arithmatic violate WP:OR?
Also, I have changed the sentance to read "The fuselage has been lengthened by three feet just forward of the main door for more capacity." Might as well be correct, even if not directly sourced. bahamut0013 13:17, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Comanche[edit]

The fact much of this stuff is either directly derived from or inspired by the RAH-66 program that was canceled is probably worth noting. Ditto with Enhanced Apache. 66.178.144.200 (talk) 08:35, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have any references that prove this connection? bahamut0013wordsdeeds 13:02, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Triggered by \bairforce-technology\.com\b on the local blacklist

If you would like me to provide more information on the talk page, contact User:Cyberpower678 and ask him to program me with more info.

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—cyberbot II NotifyOnline 21:43, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
