Wrong rating, wrong armament, wrong ship[edit]

This article was formerly very inaccurate. The Loyal London was never a "96-gun First Rate", and that description appears to have been based on a mis-reading of the Colledge book. The ship was built as an 80-gun Second Rate (as described by Lavery, by my own published work, and by all the archival records of the Admiralty and Navy Board); when commissioned, she was actually armed with 92 guns but never carried more than this and was always a Second Rate. It was the 1670 HMS London that was rebuilt from the remains of the 1666 vessel which was the 96-gun First Rate. I have substantially corrected the article.
