16 June 2023: handed over to the Ukrainian Navy[edit]

The ship has been renamed Cherkasy and handed over to Ukraine. She sailed on 16 June 2023 out of UK waters under control of a Ukrainian Navy crew. Ukrainian Naval Ships Chernihiv (ex-HMS Grimsby) and Cherkasy (ex-HMS Shoreham) sail from Rosyth this morning. N2e (talk) 15:40, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A better source, but still vague on the handover. Cherkasy sailed out of port in Scotland, but the UK navy and the Ukraine Navy are keeping quiet on the mission, and whether the ships have been formally handed over to Ukraine, or not.Two Ukrainian minesweepers reportedly leave port in Scotland, The New Voice of Ukraine, 16 June 2023. — N2e (talk) 03:23, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
