Name of page[edit]

Should the page be called "HM Factory, Gretna" or "H.M. Factory, Gretna"? Snowman 15:03, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Does not really matter, other than wiki naming conventions. The full title was "His Majesty's Factory, Gretna", so the shorthand name was "M.H. Factory, Gretna". (The "Stationery Office", was "H.M.S.O." until quite recently; then it became "HMSO" and now it is TSO Ltd). I hardly think we need both names - one with a #redirect link.Pyrotec 15:54, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
For consistency it should be H. M. Factory, Gretna. I think that's also the more correct abbreviation. Even after 16 years. 86.187.235.44 (talk) 19:39, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hectares[edit]

The standard metric measure of land area is the hectare. Square kilometres is the appropriate measure to convert from square miles, but not from acres. 64andtim, why do you insist on 9,000 acres (36 km2) instead of 9,000 acres (3,600 ha)? 86.187.235.44 (talk) 19:46, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies, I accidentally clicked the wrong keypad and didn’t notice it. Hopefully that will never happen again. 64andtim (chat) 20:14, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. I have now corrected the three instances. 86.187.235.44 (talk) 20:23, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
